Transporting hazardous goods between the UK and France
The rules on transporting hazardous goods (ADR) are very strict and the rules for carrying hazardous goods across the English Channel are stricter still and must be adhered to.
All hazardous goods (where the goods are labelled with a UN number) must be accompanied by a dangerous goods note detailing the UN number, the packaging group, the class into which the goods fall and both the net and gross weights of the consignment.
It is the senders responsibility to ensure that all paperwork is complete and given to our driver at the point of collection, any discrepancies could result in the driver refusing to collect the goods and you may be liable to a surcharge as per our terms and conditions.
Unsure about the ADR rules? Ask
When requesting a quote or booking our services, if you think your consignment falls under the ADR rules (if it is labelled with a UN number) then please provide us with as much information as possible.
If you are unsure if we can carry your goods or if they fall under ADR, please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.
1 man deliveries between the UK and France
Our drivers travel alone so if your consignment requires more than one person to move it you must make us aware of this and be aware that you are responsible for ensuring help is available. Our vans are equipped with pallet trucks and tail lifts to aid loading and unloading but it would help if you could make us aware of any difficulties we may incur such as staircases.
When requesting a quote please provide us with weights and dimensions of your consignment.
